Before You Ask

The questions most people have before they join.

The basics

What each part of Billie actually is.

Scan. Score. Fix. Monitor - and everything in between.

A Billie Scan™ is a secure search of thousands of public and private data sources — courts, government agencies, and background-check databases — for the legal and public records connected to your name.

Billie AI then does the hard part: it resolves which records are actually yours using its identity-matching engine and assigns a confidence score, flags errors, mismatches, and missing information, translates legal jargon into plain language, and generates your Legal Wellness Score™.

You always see the source of every record, and you can take action — dispute an error, learn your options in the Wellness Center, or connect with a vetted professional in the Billie Wellness Network™.

Your data is encrypted, private, and not sold.

Your Legal Wellness Score™ is a 0–100 measure of the health of your record — not a judgment of you as a person.

Billie AI evaluates two things: Record Integrity (is your information accurate, complete, correctly attributed to you, and consistent across sources?) and Impact (how significant are the matters currently on your record?). It also recognizes Resolution Progress as you correct, dismiss, or clear items.

The score is designed to be explainable — every change traces to a specific record or action — educational, and forward-looking: it rewards remediation and lightens the weight of older, resolved matters over time. It updates as your records change and as you take action.

Importantly, the score reflects the state of your record. It is not used to predict your eligibility for employment, housing, or credit.

As you act, Billie guides you through a simple loop — Scan, Score, Fix, Monitor — and your score updates dynamically, moving through five bands — Urgent Care, Needs Care, Stable, Healthy and Thriving.

Tools to help you take action when there is an issue in your record: the Legal Wellness Library, state-specific know-your-rights guides, a first aid kit of templates and forms, links to the agencies that actually hold your records, and the Expungement Eligibility Estimator.

All of it is free, and none of it is legal advice.

A directory of vetted, licensed professionals — attorneys, as well as specialists in expungement, credit repair, identity theft, and reputation repair — matched to the actual flag in your record.

Billie AI is the engine underneath the product. It matches records across thousands of sources and scores how confident it is that each one is actually you — which is how records that aren’t yours get flagged instead of quietly following you around.

It also translates legal language into plain English, notices patterns across your records, and answers questions in Billie Chat. The score itself stays rules-based and explainable.

A paid tier for people who want ongoing visibility rather than a one-time look: full record detail, 24/7 monitoring with alerts when something new surfaces under your name, and action plans and templates.

Think of it as having us do the work — we watch your records in the background so you do not have to remember to check.

Any additional scan after you've redeemed your first free Billie Scan.

Most people want additional scans at important life moments: before a job interview, before a lease application, or right after addressing an issue to confirm it's been corrected or removed.

Once you join the waitlist, Skip the Line shows you where you are in the queue — and gives you a way to move up.

The practical questions.

Privacy, cost, coverage, and the things Billie deliberately does not do.

No. Billie is a technology company, not a law firm, and using Billie does not create an attorney–client relationship.

Billie helps you see and understand information that is already part of your public record. When you need a pro, Billie connects you with independent licensed professionals through the Billie Wellness Network™.

No. Billie only searches for records connected to you, and identity verification exists specifically to keep it that way.

Billie is not a people-search tool and is not built for screening anyone else — not a date, not a tenant, not a babysitter. If that is what you need, Billie is the wrong product.

No. Your scan is yours. Employers, landlords, lenders, insurers, friends, and family cannot look you up on Billie — there is no directory of people, because Billie only ever searches for the person who is signed in.

Billie does not supply reports about you to anyone, and your Legal Wellness Score™ is not shared.

Not yet — Billie is in development, with the MVP launching this fall. Joining the waitlist is how you get in first.

The records themselves have always been out there. What has not existed is a single place where you can see them, understand them, and do something about them.

Everything you share is encrypted in transit and at rest, stored in accounts controlled solely by Billie, used only for the purpose you authorized, and not sold.

You can remove your information at any time. Identity verification is entirely optional — it sharpens the match, but the scan runs without it.

You will get at least one free scan every year, plus your Legal Wellness Score™, the Wellness Center, and the Billie Wellness Network™ — all free. We are still working out exactly how many free scans we can include.

Here is the honest reason it is not settled: a single scan searches thousands of records across 3,000+ courts, government agencies and data sources, and that costs real money. We are researching how many free scans we can responsibly give away so that you can keep an eye on your record without worrying about it. Stay tuned.

Wherever the number lands, you will have options: buy individual scans with Scan on Demand, or subscribe to Billie Premium and have us do the work — we monitor your records in the background and send you alerts when new records or issues surface.

That is one of the most common problems Billie exists to catch. Billie AI flags records that may not belong to you — and shows you the source behind each one.

From there the Wellness Center is built for exactly this: a dispute letter template generator, direct links to the government agencies holding the record, and plain-language explanations of your rights under consumer protection statutes like the FCRA.

If addressing the issue needs a professional, the Billie Wellness Network™ connects you with one.

No. Billie does not remove, alter or delete records — changing a court record is a legal process, not a setting.

What Billie does is show you what is there, explain what it means, and estimate whether you may be eligible for relief like expungement or sealing. The Wellness Center gives you the forms, step-by-step guides, agency links and rights explainers to pursue it, and the Billie Wellness Network™ connects you with a licensed professional when you want one.

Billie launches in New York, New Jersey, California and Florida — four states covering roughly a quarter of the U.S. population.

We intend to expand quickly, state by state, until Billie is nationwide. Join the waitlist from anywhere and we will tell you the moment we reach you.

The Network is open to licensed attorneys, specialists in expungement, credit repair, identity theft, and reputation repair. Verification covers bar registration, licensing board standing, disciplinary monitoring, jurisdiction, and specialization mapping.

Founding partners are being onboarded now.
